The Lost Art Form of Artistic Artistry art show by: Wolly Vinyl
"An exhibition that explores the concept of creation and creativity. In order for one to truly value and respect what has been created, at times it is necessary to see from which it came. The blue print to creativity is in the DNA of what is being created and by whom it is made. The female being the most complex and beautiful creation of all, the balance and outcome of these elements and the lost idea of creating from passion and desire rather than to fit molds or be accepted are the driving force of the work for show." -wOlly Vinyl

"Let The Good Times Roll" Art Show & Benefit
Black Sheep Skateshop and Gallery Twenty-Two had put on a skate deck art show called "Let The Good Times Roll" to benefit a grassroots skate park movement in Charlotte, NC. The art show featured customized skate board artwork from a diverse group of the area's most talented underground artists. Chris Stuart, John Hairston, Richie Mccorkle, ChalkBoard, Matt Hooker, Jason Hanna, Radar, SmackHound, Mike Siancas, Matt Brown, and many others had work in the show. I can straight up say, that the collection of decks on display were outstanding. I tried my best to capture every deck on display, but not sure if I succeeded. It was a great turnout, I think the whole Plaza-Midwood family came through Twenty-Two. I hopefully did not make anybody to uncomfortable with my camera and snapping shots of the event. The air conditioning had some issues in the gallery, so it was a little hot. I am sure the hosts did their best to keep folks cool in the gallery. I also caught wind of a few artist had their pieces sold even before the event, Stuart and ChalkBoard being a part of that group. I didn't make it over to Snug Harbor for the in-between party and after-party..I was worn out. Well, It was a great time again on the Plaza-Midwood block. Congrats to all the artists in the show. We the Skate and Art community thank you for your talents, time, and creativity. New friends I met, and old friends I had a chance to hang with.Congrats to those artists that were able to sell the art they had created. Thanks again to my homies @BlackSheep Skateshop, Lisa @Gallery Twenty-Two, all the artist that were in the show.

BLKSHP.NYC.
Well, It's be like 2 weeks since I made the trip to NYC to meet up with some Camden Boys. Josh and Chase of BlackSheep Skateshop were headed up to NYC for the Agenda Tradeshow. I rolled to Maryland first, then met up with Hen a day before the Sheep came through. I only carried the camera with me twice out of the week I was in NYC. Josh, Chase, Andy, and myself hit up 12 & A park in the city for the second time and it was epic. Serious tricks were going down there at 12 and A, all I could do was watch. The same day a few guys from SUPREME were there skating too. Because the guys from SUPREME knew Andy, we also got to hang and skate, skate to hit the deli for beers, and then skate to the clubs for more beers. I experienced real NYC skate shit first hand and it was awesome. Andy gave us the tour called "the loop" in the city, which we skated on a hot day. Josh and I made the mistake of wearing black clothes, and we payed for that..trust me. I always have a great time when I go to NYC, a different experience with each trip. Hopefully, I will be seeing you real soon New York. Oh yeah here are a few of the photos from the trip.

Congrats to the homies. I don't have anything else to say.

General Patton
Big Boi's song General Patton feat. Big Rube has been out for a minute. I just thought about it again, after I just got off the FB chat with the homie Sumner. My fellow Chelsea FC mate, is in the video eating chicken, most likely high as hell, and dancing funny. For those that don't know Sumner, he's the one in the afro, with the red flannel hoodie thing. Dax is up in there too reppin' with the dashiki on.
Big shouts to Sum and Dax.

Brooklyn

I guess it was about two weeks ago, I had a little trip to New York. Steve was on vacation that week, so he rolled with me. Well, I did not take many photos as I usually do on a trip. I was so caught up in just the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of being in Fort Greene, Brooklyn to snap photos. I did not feel like a tourist there, I felt like I was in the comforts of my own room. I mean from the photos I have collected here, are nothing compared to what we did. I mean. I took no photos basically..sorry. Nevertheless, I had a better time in the four days in NY, than the week I had in LA..and that's the truth. From good eats, meeting new friends, more fine women per square block I have ever seen, DJ Spinna's Michael Jackson tribute party, even Common's free show in the park. I had a awesome time..and will be going back most likely next week. I can't wait.

Red Bull Manny Mania Charlotte

This past HOT ass Saturday, the RED BULL MANNY MANIA event rolled through. Not only was it in town, it was on the block called Camden. Oh yeah, right in front of the Camden staple Fat Burrito(which I had a little earlier today) If you would like a quick overview of what Manny Mania is, well I will try to explain. I'm pretty sure Joey Brezinski was at the helm to get this type of technical contest rolling. The contest revolves around one trick, which is the Manual. If your sure what a manual is, basically balancing on either the front or back two wheels.
It's not a contest to see how long you can balance on two wheels down the street. This contest is more on sliding, grinding, flipping in and flipping out, and make sure you throw a manual in there somewhere, the possibilities are insane. I just purchased my new camera, so I didn't really get to test it out to much before the event. My card was too small, so I had to delete photos during the event. While I was doing that, tricks were going down and I missed great tricks. I will be better prepared and on point next time. Ryan Flynn was there with a CANON EOS-1 and more, I know his name with photo credits from Focus Skateboarding Magazine. Let's just say about Ryan, that's a bad man. It was a great turnout at the event, even with it being 100 degrees outside. I'm glad everyone stayed cool with refreshments and shade provided by RED BULL. My boy Joe aka DJ Spclgst (Special Guest) who straight up killed it all day long on the Huge Red Bull truck.
The BLACKSHEEP SKATESHOP crew was in full effect and in attendance. Blacksheep/Camden homies OJ Farrar, Ian Isenhour, Danny Delvin, Travis Kirkpatrick, Micah Mcswain, and Blake Spencer were in the contest. I know Bluetile Skates in Columbia, SC, Ruin Skateshop out of Atlanta, were all there.
It's been a while since I shot any moving objects, so It click it'll it was to late. Meaning I had a full card, it would have been better if I had some sequence shots. Anyways, It was HOT, had alot of fun, I got to see the Camden boys skate, good times. Oh yeah, thanks Audrey @RedBull for hooking a homie up.

"I'm in my prime.."
The funniest scene in the movie Tombstone. I actually worked in the movie theater when this came out originally back in 1993. I saw this movie at least once a day everyday for about a month. I still enjoy watching this movie as if it was the first time watching it. I was living in Sierra Vista, Arizona for about a year and a half, and went to Tombstone a few times. It was only like 30 miles away from what I remember. This is a least 4 years before the movie was made when I visted. Val Kilmer performed so well in the Doc and the Jim Morrison roles. He should at least got an Oscar nod for the Doors movie. He was in his prime..
underrated if you ask me.
The Translation of their Latin battle.
Doc Holliday: In Vino Veritas.
In wine is truth. - Meaning - "When I'm drinking, I speak my mind."
Johnny Ringo: Age Quod Agis.
Do what you do. - Meaning - "Do what you do best."
Doc Holliday: Credat Judaeus Apella, Non Ego.
The Jew Apella may believe it, not I. - Meaning -"Oh I don't believe drinking is what I do best."
Johnny Ringo:
Eventus Stultorum Magister.
Events are the teachers of fools. - Meaning - "Fools have to learn by experience."
Doc Holliday:
In Pace Requiescat.
Rest in peace - Meaning - "It's your funeral!"

"ART OF DOPE" artshow.
"The “Art of Dope” is a series of shows that play off of drug culture, done through artistic expression in order to bring awareness to whats going on in our society, there will also be an art book published to accompany the work and explain the concepts and ideas behind the “Art of Dope”. This show is to merely bring awareness and will cover all elements, positive and negative. However, the Art of Dope also has an underlying theme. Not only would the artwork cover drug subject matter, but we’re playing off of the art actually being a drug itself. The actual physical artwork in the show becomes the metaphor for uncontrolled substances and how society tends to deal with it.
“Dope” art."-Kiser.
This past weekend, I went to the ArtHouse in Noda to check out homie's GodCity new art show named the "Art Of Dope". DJ Enlil was on the wheels providing the soundclash. I took a few photos of the their artwork on display. Good Times..and oh yeah Gerald Biggers get the gasface.
GodCity..still DOPE.
