I'm ready for 2008

Well, 2007 is almost over..and 2008 is in around the corner in a couple of hours or so. I do not make predictions, resolutions, pinky swear, mainly promises that I can't keep to my myself. I have done it before in the past, and everybody does this year and year out. The same crap.."oh I'm going to get in shape" or stop smoking, stop drinking, go to the doctor and get that rash looked at (you know who you are K.I.) I am just going to say, I'm looking forward to the new year and the things I want to accomplish in the year to come. I just have a lot of things I want to do a see take off and bang out in 08'. First off, I'm glad I am still alive for another year, tomorrow is not promised to you..so I'm thankful for that. My parents, my sister are doing well, and the rest of my family are doing well too..and I'm thankful for that also.

Even though I am so concerned about the well being of my family, my second concern are now my career endeavors that I have in the works. First off, Street Local is going to be banging..I can see it..really...and I'm so ready to get this thing cracking...I can taste it. I am thankful for Ryan and Al for including me in this experience, and I can't wait for the challenges. Ryan, Cory, Tim, Dustin, Myself, and Woodie on the co-sign(thanks dude)..oh it's on..believe me..I got crazy visions. The next thing is so like top secret..I can't say anything at all..DTA...it's hard not to say anything too. I still have some things to work out but, I am very hopeful for this opportunity too..and I'm not trying to jinx myself either. The next great opportunity to come up is to be a contributing writer on a up and coming magazine based out of Charlotte called BLU Magazine. My friend Camila Amortegui along with her brother Nico is running BLU, and it looks like such a good thing. I'm happy for her and hope she goes fuckin full blast at this thing. Blu will kill it, those Lotus Ladies got hella steez, they'll get busy no doubt.

My next one is really so important to me, is my right hand man, my man 100 grand, boyband, boykrew, Broken United FC, the reason why I even fuck with these beats..Steven Hart aka DJ Apex. I am so amped that my dawg is about to get busy for real on the ones and twos at a venue near you. Steven, I am so ready for you to give these brain dead, no soul having maw'fuckers some much needed pep in thier lives, I wanna see you in London dude..can I get that..shit..COOP son..WinterFest in March I'm talking about whole week in Miami shit!!!I'm talking about 530am still cranking out jams, fuck that shit..we are the Broken United FC..WE Got it dude!!

Next the Joneses...Henry and Aaron are about to get real big time soon too..Yeah I stepped away from the Brand in the early stages and there was no hard feeling on any parts. I feel that I am a better fit in Street Local anyways, but we are all fam so I got their back anyways till the end. I will make it to the 404/678 area code real soon too, I feel my time in the QC is done. I think it's time to move on to different things and opportunities..and I feel I need to be in that environment to get that fix. In no means is Q.C. slacking, but if you live here as long as I have..you'll understand..It's time for a change.

A quick shout out to folks that stand out real quick..Thanks to my boys Rex and Oak holding me down@ Rogue Status, Brett holding me down @ Estate LA, KhanArt Designs, my boy BlackSheep Skateshop owner Josh Frazier..love ya man for always holding me down, Michelle Kee doing her thang in modeling and design(babe I want you to go so far), Rashad Frazier going back to school for his Masters, My homegirl Lindsey starting a kid's line and a highend lingerie line also..(yeah it's like that). The Others(DJ D.R., Mattic, Madwreck) that stay in Europe doing big shows and shit, Reggie with Brave Benard, DJ Jamad doing his thang, Adam Huf(no relation) most likely is the new manager for Niche, Chase is now the manager for BlackSheep Skateshop..congrats to both my homiez, Omar and Jamaal, lets just move to ATL fuck it!!!

I just want people and myself to realize their gifts and capitalize on them and get paid and do the damn thang and strive and pursue these rainbows and dreams . To all those I didn't name I haven't forgot about you guys either, I'm just going off the top of my head. Anyways everybody do your thang in 08'lets get it!
(p.s. Donald come visit me dammit!!)

Street Local, Broken United FC, DTA, EstateLA, Blu Mag, BlackSheep SkateShop, Camden Crooks, BoyBand aka BoyKrew, Grande Click, Posse Love, Macks Only, First Rate Krew, Elementry Skool.

WHAT HAPPENED series 1..Kelis

I know, I'm gonna catch a lot of hell and shit for this...but I guess I'll explain first. Well the 1st Kelis joint "Kaleidoscope" was so dope. Songs like " Caught Out There", "Get Along With You" and "I Want Your Love" was my shit... With that classic Neptunes sound before it got ran into the ground. The next joint with "Young, Fresh N' New" with the monster truck in the video was sick too. On the last one while everybody listened to "milkshake".. I was listening to "Millionaire" with Andre 3000 and "Glow" with Raphael Saadiq...good songs but I guess sales wasn't to good so I heard. Man I even got some other house mixes of some stuff too she has done. My point is really with all the beating around the bush.....Kelis is still beautiful, sexy as hell, and talented etc etc and made alot of the B-Boys, Skaters, Real Soul cats, eclectic cats, just be on some like "Wow". Kelis had something too make you just fall in love with her style and everything about her...my ex- girl stole(okay lifted) mine and my boy's copy because she lost hers. There was alot of my boys was feelin' her for real even though she liked thugs ( Shyne, ODB, Nas). To sum it up "Bossy" was crucial..I couldn't fuck with it at all...I couldn't break down and do it...it was just weird as hell to me. I hope she sales an ass load of records... B.E.T. and MTV....the music industry is so gone now there is no coming back now. I don't know if Puffy or her husband Nas got her into that shit..but hell it was a little strange. Well, The artist that I use to support are changing, not so much in a good way but hell the world is changing too. Kelis and Esco are married anyways, hell they gotta pay those bills not me. I just miss that sound from her and the Neptunes..maybe I'm holding on..well not really..thus Broken Beats.Whatever I will just quote one of the greatest songs of all time from Common ( Sense)..."I use to love H.E.R" .
(P.S. oh yeah Common..homie your next..this is Personal!!)

Remember The GodFather of Soul..James Brown

James Joseph Brown born May 3, 1933 – December 25, 2006
"The Godfather of Soul" and "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business"
As a prolific singer, songwriter, bandleader, and record producer, Brown was a pivotal force in the evolution of gospel and rhythm and blues into soul and funk. He left his mark on numerous other musical genres, including rock, jazz, disco, dance and electronic music, reggae and hip hop. His music also left its mark on the rhythms of African popular music, such as afrobeat,
jùjú and mbalax, and provided a template for go-go music.

There is nothing else to say...you better bow your head...Hell I do..no doubt.
James Brown was 40 years ahead of time in my opinion. There would be no Hip Hop without him..we owe him everything..and I mean everything.
We will all miss you James Joseph Brown..Love Ya Man.
Go on with ya badself...I say it loud.."I'M BLACK AND I'M PROUD!!"
Rest In Peace.

Social Push

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Rashad Frazier one of the best dudes I know, very Creative and outside of the box thinking dude. Has a Company by the name of Social Push the motto is "we don't promote parties, we promote culture." The Mastermind behind the Camden Block Party..then Inner Circle bit his idea..typical Charlotte crap..anyways He's going to Graduate School I think for his Masters Degree. Rashad always had me thinking ahead, really to keep me 6 steps ahead of everybody else. Rashad was always getting me hyped on things like "dude fuck that cuz, lets do this Myk!" I always had fun chilling at the Lake Norman I didn't wanna fuck with the Jet Ski's..I kinda didn't wanna drown in the water..yeah I can swim but it's been a while. Anyways homie Just wanted to shout you out real quick and we'll most definitely stay in contact. You know we gotta do big things in the future...sooner than later..feel me cousin? Yeah you do...

Now to give you a little backdrop, When I first got my "point and shoot" cybershot, I took photos of everything and anything. One day at Niche I was there with Steve, Jimmy shows up, Powder rolls through, and Henry and Adam are working in the store. So I'm playing with the camera and wanted a photo of the boys hanging out in the store. I did not know about the timer yet, because Hen would have been in the photo also. I asked Hen to take a couple of random posse photos. So I think when I had the photo added to my photos on Myspace, Woodie or Bobby added the photo on the Niche myspace page. I'm pretty sure this was in the springtime when this photo was taken in the shop. So months go by and I hear that StreetWear Today was doing an little article on Niche. Last week Adam tells me that "We" are in the magazine.. looking at him and I was like "huh?". So I finally go by Niche and see a photo that was taken with my camera is in the magazine. I was like damn that's dope so I gotta get an issue..but they only sent Bobby two issue..drats!
But the funny thing is the only one in the photo that works at Niche is Adam, and he's in the back in the V-neck..haha. So I have been trying to find out how to get this magazine, so I'm working on it..gotta have that a copy.
So If anybody knows holla at me.

Pop Life Comes to an End..for Now.

Well since the Spring/Summer hangout/networking at Prevue(an old jeans factory in Highland Mills in Noda) is done..for now. Big Thanks to Mike Kitchen and Carlton Hargro for holding us down with different DJs..D.R., Frazier, DJ Jus, Arthur B. Smitty, DJ Jamad, Buddy..and who ever else I forgot..Oh Kitch himself too. With This oulet to unwind on "hump day".Well It was fun, with me working on the weekend I always looked forward to weds @ 6pm.
Shit they had Free food ..catered food..the fall of the bone chicken was always on point..they eased off the chocalte chip cookies I hated they got rid of them. There was a white chick, I'm talking about every damn weds would still be in her downtown clothes throwing down like 4 and 5 plates of food then bounce. She was behind me on day like "there's no more hot wings!"...I always got the hell out of her way. Anyways it wasn't always a blowout like last night somedays it would be dead somedays it would be ok..because QC folks are so fucking fickle.."oh it looks like it's about to rain" or "it's to cold outside". Give me fucking break... yeah Atlanta soon.

Yeah It was a great time, wasnt like the early days when I 1st got here in Charlotte lets see...MoonRoom(now Wachovia's skyscraper, CafeCafe(I think a subway), FatCity( torn down now its a expensive ass lofts called guess what..Fatcity Lofts.)The best of the all..Tonic (CPCC College's 5 level parking garage)I guess this is where HOM(home) will fill the gaps. Anyways all the good spots are gone espically for this city if that shit isn't some stiff ass gotta dress the fuck up bullshit..you aint getting in ..so I guess I 'll see all of yall at Wutang In Jan.

Well It was fun while it lasted..between the food, the beats, the dancing, the new folks I met, the old folks, my krew watching ass, my current boo I met out there, and me always killing with some new BlackSheep Skateshop Camden Crooks kicks LOL,Me laughing at how drunk Carlton would be and hittin on women(more than one at a time.)
My boys spinning the tunes...just good times..by the time another place opens..I'll be in ATL..so here's a some of my favorite photos from prevue.

Nike Dunk SB - Skate or Die

Unless your 26 years old and above..you shouldn't remember the game..If you do cool..but I'm over the bright colorways anyways..here's the info anyways.

Before the Tony Hawk era, we had such as “720 Degrees”, which was one of the first skateboard games for Atari. Now Nike SB will be releasing another inspired Dunk-Low after the 1987 video game “Skate or Die. The colorway of the sneaker is inspired by the artwork of the cover. These kicks will be releasing early 2008.

Driving while Black

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Friday Night My road dawg Anthony aka Ant aka Pete aka PeeWee and I had got pulled over on commonwealth in Charlotte this week.I mean, I know everybody has been pulled over, harassed, or fucked with in some way by the police. I feel bad because I asked my buddy for 10 years for a ride to get a pair of jeans from a spot called Boris and Natasha on Thomas street. My whole thing is not that we got pulled over, nor that I had just bought the EMB mids and they were on the floor in box..and the shine from the flashlight was blinding the hell outta me. Anyways the thing that pissed me off the most was the slang and the "hip" way the cop was talking to Ant.
Let me make sure I'm clear not on some way out shit, Ant was explaining about his tags and things and the cop goes"yeah man I feel you..word I feel ya". I was like the hell why is he talking like that..oh yeah he was a young white cop looked like he was in late 20's. Not Vanilla Icy or Marshall Mathers steez..he was I guess a regular white dude. I don't even use the slang he was using, really I don't use crazy slang anyways..well A little. The cop was liked since he pulled over some brothers he gotta pull out his "keeping it real in the field" handbook. He just talked to us like we were some dudes in a Cadillac on some 28's and shit.
I don't know it just threw me off with the slang, I think it was just unnecessary and he needs to git his shit together. Hell I guess after all this I just wrote, I can but myself in his place too. He has to do what he feels he has to do to ease a situation so he can makeit home every night to his family or loved ones too.
So in the words of Officer Ross that pulled us over...
I feel ya..I feel ya.

A Letter for MF DOOM

The following is a letter written by our boy( tall white guy jeff) that went to the bullshit MF Doom show last night in Atlanta, where he had a lip singer show in his place. Thanks Doom.

The following is a message I just sent Doom via myspace:

I don't participate in this my space bullshit and never, until
tonight, have I ever felt compelled to write a message to somebody. I
don't even have an account and had to use a friend's to login.

I have been listening since KMD, before all the different alias/characters.

In the past 6-7 few years I've seen "you" multiple times, and I've
also actually seen the real you multiple times. I assume you would
claim that you're just Viktor Vaughn, and MF Doom is whomever is
wearing the mask at that given time. But that's some bullshit!

I just watched a guy lipsync over your tracks for all of about 30
minutes at MJQ in Atlanta. What's even sadder is the "concert" wasn't
more than 30 minutes from your cozy home in Kennesaw, and yet you
failed to make it. I've come to expect your tardiness, but until
tonight, I've always dismissed my friends stories that you sent out
imposters to perform in your place.

The guy I just watched perform tonight might as well have been singing
Guilty Simpson vocals. Shit, for all I know, it was Guilty Simpson who
performed. There's a better chance James Yancey was singing up there
than you.

Anyway, that shit might fool the eight stan's will their balls
scrunched up against the stage, however, the real heads know it wasn't
you.

I could give a fuck less if you choose to respond, but just know, YOU
LOST A FAN TONIGHT. And to think, I was actually one of the four
people in Atlanta who actually bought MM Food (original or
re-release).

I need a new watch.

Available in a rugged gun metal or brushed silver finish, the innovative watch face features a contoured undulating effect as if the metal itself is alive. This design features 26 exceptionally bright, multi-colored LED’s and a cool, solid stainless steel strap.

One push of the button animates the LED's in various patterns before revealing the time, a function which can be skipped with a second press of the button.

The Q version uses the established 12-5-9 method to tell the time. 12 hours, 5 groups of 10 minutes and 9 single minutes. Moving clockwise from the top of the display, the first two lines of LED's show the hours 1-12, each lit LED indicating one hour. The next line indicates minutes up to 50, each LED showing 10 minutes. The final two lines indicate single minutes 1-9, one LED for each minute.

A conventional structure combined with a unique display, this outstanding watch is perfect for those who crave something extraordinary.

just a lil' modeling

First off, Met a young lady through my homie Jason Waters by name of Anna Bullard. A couple of months ago she had me do pose for some photos for a group called "After the Burial" (I think is a christan rock group). It was fun because Jason, Marcus, and some other two I never met b4,= tagged along for the shoot. We were all like nervous and not sure what to do, but came out alright thou. So fast forward to this day, Ana calls me and asked me if I would be interested in doing some Little Brother gear too so.. I was game for that. So I was ready to rep some Estate LA stuff to in the photos too.We also had some other bands to rep..but I'm not sure who they were..oh well. Plus, I asked Ana if I can bring another Model, I had a cute girl..she was like "sure bring her".
So I bring my lady Michele..so here's a sample.
